Just as an FYI, I heard you, looks like everyone is for keeping the megathreads so I scrapped the dedicated forum. We will continue with the megathreads.

I missed the whole discussion, but yeah, this seemed like a solution in search of a problem.
I mean, I get the idea that it’s hard to find information in a megathread, though I haven’t ever found that to be an issue. But even if it is for someone, you know what would solve it? Implementing a good, easily usable search system.

I don’t. There is something very conversational about the mega thread. It evolves, you talk about random things, it feels like you are making friends. There is a different sense of “we are just here to support each other” than specific questions. Particularly because the minute those turn into a conversation it gets flagged as “off topic”.

Which comes, of necessity, from the more conversational bits.
