@mimi2018 Although my D was admitted with honors and the scholarship thing…she too would have likely chosen to live in language immersion of the GSH building rather than the straight up honors floors to give her a little space rather than being with all honors kids all the time 24/7. Before she chose another school and we thought UO was it, she was struggling if honors was even worth it - it is more money and certain honors class requirements that eat into the classes you can take for your major, particularly if you want to double major which mine definitely did. Check out the honors requirements to see if how it fits with the major(s). Lastly, a lot of the honors classes are small and discussion based, which sounds great to parents - but the student has to think about how it fits them…15 people sitting around a table discussing subject matter at 8am appeals to some, while for others it is a total nightmare.
