Maybe your post was moved by the time I saw it, but this looks like the correct place to me. Anyways, I advise you to look into FSU for performing arts. They have a more reputable program and more funding goes into it. UF is a great school, but they do not support their performing arts program like FSU does. At UF, you constantly hear about medicine, engineering, and business. In my opinion, the performing arts and liberal arts play second fiddle.
As for the university itself, it has a great reputation, but as a parent I have not been happy with the large size of the classes, how many classes are hybrid or online, the long waits for appointments with advisors, and how pervasive the partying is. Not all students are into that, so it’s something to consider.
