Yeah, I felt somewhat confident. I’m actually still a little shocked that they chose to wait-list me. My application was good but obviously not good enough lol.
I hate to be that person, but I really think it came down to me being a high-need applicant. About a week ago, they asked for an additional document (not one that we originally needed to turn in) to further confirm my family’s income. I turned it in within a couple of hours of their request and that was the last I heard from them until this morning.
I’ve browsed through enough threads on CC to know that a handful of people who are wait-listed at MHC as transfers were accepted to LACs with higher ranks and generally more competitive admission standards. It makes me wonder if there’s something inflating the 57% acceptance rate.
