Psat 2012

@OACLJV what were the questions?

I honestly don’t remember, they were just questions along the lines of “what is the angle value of x”. I think there were two “find the angle” questions with the answer 130 to one and 70 to the other, but perhaps I’m confusing a practice test with the real test.

The PSAT didn’t seem too hard for me, either, especially in comparison with the practice tests. It makes me wonder, though, if everyone’s scores will be higher this year. If they are, then the cutoff will be raised.

I thought a lot of the grammar questions were fairly obvious if you used a practice book to review the tricky stuff… dangling modifiers, incorrect usage of “they”, etc.

I couldn’t figure out the question about the woman’s daughter learning to talk so I just took a guess out of two of the choices… I can’t remember which one though haha

Tabernacle question I was pretty confident in answering “sensory” because of the marbles thing.

For the macchu picchu one I answered “moistened.”

Did anyone get 8 for one of the grid-in questions? I can’t remember what the question was but I remember just bubbling in “8”

For prime numbers I got 108 (97+11)

Sock question I got 4

Another one of the grid ins I got a number that was like 6080 or 6076 or something… but again, can’t remember what the question was

Heps-
prime numbers was right
socks was right
I got 8 for one of the grid-ins aswell and I also cannot remember.
I also put moistened because I believe the context referred to how the fog was able to help the plants grow.
