Going up Feb 27th for accepted student tour, thanks for the info on dorms
Will all the international students who applied before Nov 30 hear back tomorrow morning? On the website it says the deadline of priority for international students is Feb 1 and the notification day will be Mid April so I’m really confused now.
@YuukaAono International students have a different deadline for applications (Feb 1) and a different deadline for notifications (May 1). The international decisions are truly rolling I believe, so depending on when you applied will depend on when you hear back. But I don’t believe that the international decisions are held to the same Jan 31st deadline as domestic applicants, so it’s unlikely that you will hear back tomorrow. They likely process domestic priority applications first and then begin on international applications since the application deadline is Feb 1.
I have seen quite a few internationals get accepted til now, and as an international too, I am confused as to whether I will hear back tomorrow morning, having applied before nov 30.

I applied directly into summer semester and it now says “you application has been updated”. Now it says that my entrance semester is fall 2017 when I wanted it to be summer

No, my first choice is UP still. This whole situation is truly frustrating. I just hope it all works out. Will be calling tomorrow
I was denied from smeal UP with a 33 act, 3.3 W gpa, lots of course rigor and extracurriculars. (applied for fall, said yes for summer, said no for branch) I emailed admissions and had my application updated for DUS. What are my chances for DUS?? Also does anyone know approx how long it will take for them to decide? Thanks and good luck to all!!

my status still says Your application is currently under review. We have received everything required to complete your application. Once a decision is made, it will be posted here. am i still able to hear by tomorrow… i applied before nov 30
So if people are asking to be re evaluated and getting 48 hour turnarounds on a DUS request then so much for “they’ll process the people who applied before nov 30th as DUS first before re evaluating others”. Such bs this process. Totally turned off.
My d applied 2nd week of September and we only heard last weds and found out it would have to be at a 2+2 for smeal. We then change/requested dus at main campus and they said it would take a week. It was 2 days. There were kids in my d class that had much lower grades and scores that got into smeal at UP. There is no rhyme or reason to any of this. It is very frustrating all the way around.

@eacollege123 : 3.3 weighted would typically result in a branch offer, but your 33 may pull you through for dus/summer. A problem is that dus seems to be getting full as more people have picked up on the fact it can help in getting into up. So, keep your fingers crossed but don’t be too optimistic.
Got accepted into PSU University Park as an engineering major.
Surprised I got into UP with my stats, since Penn State is ranked about 25 in engineering.
