My daughter just got rejected but in the decision it says “if you would like to be considered for another campus/major please call or email the admissions office to be reevaluated.” Has anyone else gotten this?
So here’s our concern tonight. Son changed from Pre-Med Eberly to DUS. He had written e-mail before Christmas, but they didn’t respond till early Jan, telling him they had made the change. However, when he looks at his application online (the part you can see where it says “Application Summary/Review”), it still says pre-med. I guess we’ll find out tomorrow if it was changed. Anyone have an similar experience?

Ncny215, my daughter had an error on her application. She emailed admissions and got a reply a day or two later saying they made the change. I looked at her application online after that (Application Summary Review) but it was not changed there. I assumed it had been changed somewhere in the PSU system. I believe the change was made because it had an impact on her admission likely hood, and she was accepted.
Thanks @Cowman. That application summary/review almost looks like a form, so not possible to change, maybe? I’m hoping it’s correct somewhere in the master system. I guess we’ll know tomorrow.
@ncny215 Ohhh!! I have answer to your question!!! Back in September, I had to call admissions to change my preferred major from Pre-Med to DUS because I kind knew it was a reach to get into Pre-Med because of my SATs. The lady on the phone was an admissions counselor, not an assistant. I said that I wanted to change to DUS and she said that I would still see pre-medicine on my application in the portal, but admissions would see DUS.
So in short: Admissions only updates what major they see on their side. Your side stays the same, even though you changed it.
Advice: I would just call and confirm that they switched it, just in case!
