damn how come i dind’t know about questbridge before my senior year?

but you should apply regular decision if you aren’tmatched with QB. Two more days.

i’m a finalist too. i ranked williams and rice and i heard from williams like last week. i didn’t get the scholarship, but i do get to apply for free. anyways, today is the notification date. so good luck everyone!

Has anyone found out yet? I’m not in the program, but my friend is in it for Amherst. I don’t think she’s heard anything yet today.
Just curious

Nope. I haven’t heard anything

I haven’t heard anything yet either, well at least from my second choice school. This is so frustrating. Are they ever going to let us know? It’s going to be through email right?

they never really come out and say they will email us. It says the choices will be mailed out and are available on dec. 1st and to look out for updates thru email. so i don’t know.

i just got the email. i wasnt matched.

i wasn’t matched either. to tell you the truth, i’m kinda happy even though it was a lost opportunity because the fact that it was binding really bothered me. williams and rice are not my top two choices though they are close. now i have a chance to apply regular and hopefully, i’ll get good financial aid packages. i figured all finalists would get at least some money because of our financial situations. basically, i like having the option of choosing where i go in the end. well, good luck with your future apps! it has to mean something since you made finalist.

Yeah. i felt the same way about the binding contract. i’m pretty bummed that i don’t get free college but I really like the other schools I am applying to better. thanks for throwing in the positive spin. Good luck to you to.

I remember receiving an email about QuestBridge a couple years ago. I was really excited and wanted to try, but when I did so, I noticed a few things:
(1) The emails have bizarre formatting and have much larger file sizes than they should be
(2) Their method of stating interest in colleges makes no sense at all, especially since check boxes have been standard issue in HTML for a while now
(3) When I did research on the scholarship, the only praise of it came from its own pages
(4) Those pages had numerous dead links, and worse, fake links
AND MOST IMPORTANTLY
(5) When I went to a part of their web site (I can’t remember where, it was a couple of years ago), I lost control over my Internet connection. I had to dig through my computer to uninstall whatever it was that snuck into my computer.

My evaluation: QuestBridge is an elaborate scam!
But I can’t be sure, especially since no one has filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau.

Hm…
My friend has yet to receive word from Amherst (the only one on her final list) because the college “hasn’t yet turned in its information.”

If nothing else, the program is irritating. At this rate, I’ll probably find out about my (normal) ED college before she knows about this.

that’s strange. it seems like it’s Amherst’s fault though not Questbridge’s.
