QuestBridge National College Match 2014-2015

Just a friendly reminder: From what I glean from various posts around CC, your decision may come in the form of a phone call, so do look up the area codes for the schools you’ve ranked so you know what to look out for! :)

@jesuscastaneda‌ In general, from past experience and my personal opinion, it’s always better to just go to bed. It’s probably because I’m on the east coast and everything seems to revolve around the west coast time, but just go to bed, have a nice day at school and come home and check. :)

@chaoticpuppy, as I stated several posts back, my D’s phone call came from a Texas area code for a Massachusetts school, so simply looking up the area codes for the schools you ranked won’t necessarily help. It would be wise to answer ANY call.

Oo thanks! I get really anxious answering strange/unknown phone calls…at least it’s only for one day though… :p

I’m really trying to not be excited, because then the let down will be ten times worse :-S :-<. But I can’t help it!

Who else doesn’t want to go to school tomorrow?? But whatever happens, happens and I am so happy to have gotten this opportunity! Good Luck everyone!

(but this wait is still killing me tho)

oh my god it’s the last day. THE DECISIONS ARE COMING.

It’s kind of weird knowing that all of the decisions of who to match have already been made…

Made an account just for tomorrow’s results. I hope i can sleep tonight

I won’t be able to focus tomorrow. I’ll be walking in a nervous daze all day long. I hope I go to the right class, and not accidentally go into the girl’s bathroom, and not catch the wrong bus. :expressionless:

But Good Luck everyone! I really mean it! :)

I am over the moon with anxiousness!! Although I’m desperately hoping to be matched, I think I’ve prepared myself for the worst case also. I just finished all the additional application and supplemental application information on the Common App website that I can, just in case I’m not matched. That way if I’m not matched all I have to do is complete whatever is on the RD form and keep moving right along.

If I am lucky enough to get matched, I will be over the moon with happiness and will not care that I just spent the last few days working on additional college applications. :-)

Hang in there and much luck to all!

I would say not to worry but I have been worrying all these days anyways. Just remember that we all have overcome great obstacles in life and there is nothing we can’t handle. Best of luck everyone and keep your chin up! <3

Wait, so if I can’t answer the phone, will they call back later/leave voicemail? Or will decisions be posted on the website anyways?

@GA2012MOM Thanks for sharing about your daughter! Just wondering, around what time did the phone call occur? When she got home, or at school? Was it your home phone? I don’t remember which number I put as my family and I always change numbers frequently so I am (as you can see…) slightly worried.

It was somewhere between 4 30 and 5 00 and it was on my cell phone as that was the only phone we had at the time. Good luck all tomorrow!

@Qdawg2015‌ Some may leave voicemails if you don’t pick up. But the match decisions will be posted in the QuestBridge website the same way as the Finalist results were posted as I have heard.

@GA2012MOM I appreciate it! Got it. @aznguy97 Thank you! That was really helpful

Does anyone know if the “congratulations” will show up on the college tracking for the actual college too?

What I saw from last year it wasn’t a huge banner. It went
Dear ______,
Congratulations! It is our great pleasure to inform you that

Tomorrow’s going to be a hell of a day.
