Question about Double/Dual Majors?

Expect to take at LEAST a fifth year to graduate if you’re double majoring between schools. The IE major will take at least 7 semesters. Your major in A&S (in this instance, Philosophy) might have some rules about whether you can use your engineering classes towards your philosophy degree. Because A&S has their own rigorous set of requirements for Gen Eds, not everything will be covered, and some majors don’t let you “double-dip” (i.e. using requirements from one major in another major as well).

I honestly don’t know a lot of people who double majored outside of Engineering. A lot of people manage to fit a minor in because they can use the minor as part of their engineering degree (in terms of elective requirements) without needing all the extra A&S requirements.
