Question about Honors College

Those who receive their offer of admission and their acceptance into the University Honors College at the same time are likely the very strongest candidates. Our older son’s initial acceptance letter also invited him into UHC. Then about 2 weeks later he received the offer of a full tuition scholarship. He is a junior in engineering at Pitt and just loving it!

However, having read this forum for several years and also being aware of other friends’ kids who were accepted to Pitt’s UHC with full and partial merit scholarships, we know that the initial acceptance letter is not the only time offers are made. Sometimes, the process takes a bit longer while the UHC folks have an opportunity to carefully evaluate all aspects of applications. Our second son was recently admitted to College of Arts and Sciences- Computer Science and we are still hoping he might be admitted to the UHC and receive merit aid.
