<p>Congrats on getting into NYU! The Gates Millennium Scholarship would cover your 11k in loans and 4k in work study. Their goal is for you to study hard and not have to spend your time earning money to pay tuition. The payment method is by check, but it’s now sent directly to your university prior to each semester or quarter, depending on your university’s system. If you work with your school’s financial aid office (see if there is someone specifically in charge of GMS revisions), you can add a laptop by submitting additional expenses. <a href=“https://www.nyu.edu/financial.aid/appeal-form-ru.html[/url]”>Financial Aid and Scholarships. You can only request additional funding for education-related expenses so you could get a laptop, but you wouldn’t be able to get a TV.
