<p>Here, in the US, a score of 1850 is considered above average, but not great. People applying to highly selective colleges in the US have scores usually above 2200. Of course, standards in Canada are lower.</p>
<p>An essay of 5 is solid. Note that on the actual test, two graders grade your essay so you get two grades that are added together. Thus, the actual range of essay scores is 2-12. Assuming both graders gave you a 5, you would have a score of 10, a pretty good essay score.</p>
