Question about Tipping

<p>^wow…I never get worse service than that even in Hong Kong, where people don’t tip as I mentioned before. Actually, I LOVE the service in Hong Kong. I like how they put down the utensils with lightning speed even though they make quite a bit of noise. They’d ask to take your order before you finish going through the menu once and come back two more times before you are actually ready. As long as they don’t have unpleasant tone, I could care less if they are smiling at me. Because they don’t expect any tips from you, they don’t think they are there to “serve” you. They usually don’t smile (not unfriendly either) or chat with you but they do tend to get their job, which is to take your order and deliver the food, done fast. That’s what you get in many local average restaurants there (they do have plenty of places where you get more attentive service if you want them). I like the speed/efficiency of that city.</p>
