<p>Nickcc, did you get a recent mailing from Yale with information about how to respond to the acceptance offer, and filling out the housing questionaire? It also had a payment schedule. There is no housing deposit, but you will get two bills each year, one due August 1st and the other due December 1st. Other payment plans are outlined.</p>
<p>I think all info about FOOT is online at the admitted student website. I’ve heard from other kids at Yale that FOOT is not to be missed. It’s a bit inconvenient because that means sending the kid out ahead, and then showing up for move in day, but looks like a great way to meet classmates. </p>
<p>I agree with the jealous comment. I’m sure Yale isn’t right for most kids, but for the ones who fit, it’s like coming home.</p>
<p>And yes, my d is exhausted. It’s a minimum of 6 hours in the air for her. At least we know she will never do a 72 hour turnaround trip like this again. Next time she goes to New Haven, she’ll get to stay a while.</p>
