sorry to bring up an old post but would getting a degree in DCI or SDC rather than Structural Engineering give you the option of entering a high end Structural Engineering firm? Or are they only looking for purely Structural Engineering grads?

What does DCI or SDC mean?

Oh sorry, DCI is Design Construction Integration and SDC is Sustainable Design Construction. Both are under Construction programs for Stanford grad school. Currently I am admitted to Stanford’s Structural Engineering program and I’m seriously thinking about switching to SDC.
