<p>Well, it looks like the head coach is “family” and, rather than sack him (not saying that they even considered that option), it looks like they brought in some assistance/mentoring last year in the form of a very experienced assistant who’s clearly not gunning for the head coaching position.</p>
<p>The head baseball coach was 2002 NESCAC Coach of the Year, so it’s not like he doesn’t have what it takes. He probably needs some gray hair – and possibly some relief from his other considerable responsibilities at Wes. It looks like they hired the gray hair in the form of Tom Yankus, so – with some trepidation – I wonder how things went last year (as that thread carries into the spring semester last year, but it lacks any update or current information on how things are going) and I’d be very interested to see how things fly as this season develops.</p>
