Question regarding reporting middle school language on UC APP

I’m wondering about how to report middle school language classes on the UC App. At our school 2 years of middle school language equals 1 year of high school language. So, basically they take Latin 7 in 7th, Latin 8 in 8th, then Latin 2 in 9th (so Latin 7 + Latin 8 = Latin 1.) On the UC App for middle school language courses it asks for the course name, the term period, and subject area. So, should she put “Latin 7, 1 year, Yr 1 Language” and “Latin 8, 1 year, Yr 1 Language”? Does that make sense? This question just came up and her guidance counselor is already on break until after the Thanksgiving Holiday. Thanks in advance!

My daughter had French in middle school and she entered it pretty much like that, except that for the name of the class, she put “French (7th grade)” and “French (8th grade)”

I think it is also appropriate to explain in the additional information section.
