questions about orientation

They still do, but you have to pay it prior to attending orientation so it shouldn’t be a problem. It’s one of the deposits that you have to pay, but they make a point of not charging it to your student bill. I had a problem with it as an incoming freshman and it was this entire drawn out process because I had it deferred until my financial aid came through before I paid it. They refused to bill it to my account, so they kept the Orientation Hold on my SOLAR account until I paid it. The only reason that I was able to register for fall classes was because they removed the hold for the day. They put it back on and I couldn’t register for spring classes until I paid for it.

They do charge your SOLAR account for opening weekend meals though, which needs to be paid at the same time as tuition in late August/early September.

Opening Weekend Meals = $80
Orientation Fee = $180
