Academically Muhlenberg is competitive. As Teriwtt said, there are honors programs for exceptional students.

Our student is a Math Major. The Math and Comp Sci departments are smaller than others and there are many benefits in this. Easier access and more focused support from professors - including interesting research and work opportunities with less competition for them. One of our student’s favorite profs is in the Comp Sci dept.

Are profs available to students? 1000% yes.

Is environment collaborative or competitive among students? Collaborative.

Does the male/female ratio impact student life, or is hardly felt? May be an advantage for guys. But overall, it doesn’t seem so different than other places.

How big is Greek life? Not very.

Overall impression of the school. Great programs, great people, great school.

Skidmore is comparable. Muhlenberg’s artsy people are mostly in theatre. Skidmore is great for musicians and probably has a slightly more artsy vibe overall. Berg probably has stronger sciences. Having spent a lot of time in each area, while Saratoga is quaint, I think the Lehigh Valley has more going for it - especially with easy access to Philly & NYC and better weather.
