I was accepeted inder pre-econ…how much harder is a biz econ or are they the same? and how easy is it to switch?

also…how are the history minors there? and are there people readily available to help guide us in the right direction for graduating (by telling us what classes we should take) and for a career?

I got into UCLA as an applied mathematics major. However, I am also considering changing to the Math/Econ major or Math/Applied Science program with specialization in operations research. I plan to eventually go to business school to get an MBA. I would like to know about job prospects for these three majors and which degree might be “better” for admission to grad school. I am very strong in math and definately want a major with strong emphasis on mathematics. Which major would you recommend and how hard would it be to change from applied math to one of the other two majors before starting at UCLA this fall?

Hey, I may well be attending UCLA in the fall (deciding between it and Berkeley). I am very interested in film, and I know that UCLA has an unbelievable upper division film program. I’m just wondering if you know anything about it (I heard that it only accepts 15 kids a year). What would someone need on their resume to get into that?

I Need a lot of help deciding wether to go to ucla or occidental. I have always wanted to go to a prestigious school and here is my chance but occidental seems like a good alternative. UCLAs enrollment seems overwhelming, and occidental 1800 students seems welcoming. I am afraid that if i choose to go to UCLA I will not be receiving as good an education as the one i would get at a school with personal attention. If anybody has any advice for me please help me make my choice. THX

I got accepted into UCLA as a pre-bizecon major and I was invited to the honors program. I’m thinking of applying but I heard that honors students must complete a certain amount of honors courses. Are these courses really difficult? Will it cause me to have a lower GPA…and would this hurt my chances of getting into the biz-econ program?
