<p>Really that is not true. CTY programs are open to kids from all over the country. We live in the Midwest, and my kid is registered with CTY and is eligible for CTY courses. You do not have to live in the Northeast, although it is more common for kids in the Northeast to attend CTY programs (just because they are closer to home). My daughter has not attended (has been going to Davidson THINK instead), but we have looked at the courses and information before she decided what to do each of the last two summers.</p>
<p>Yes, there is a program for 10-12 grades, that same summer program link shows it. However, they are not math/science related courses for that age group (this summer they are offering “The Civic Leadership Institute” and “Global Issues in the 21st Century”). As with the other courses, you have to have SAT or ACT scores to register.</p>
