<p>SEOG funds are very limited and a school receives only a certain amount of SEOG dollars. Each school sets their own criteria for the SEOG. That is both for eligibility for it and for the amount they will award. At many, but not all, schools the criteria is a 0 EFC. But the maximum varies enormously from school to school depending on the amount of funding they have and the number of eligible students. For instance at both my kids schools the eligibility is a 0 EFC, but at my son’s school the maximum is $200 a year, while at my daughter’s school it is $2,000.</p>
