<p>Where I work, 0 EFC gets $500 FSEOG. Over 0 gets no FSEOG. If the student does not take at least 12 credits in a term, the FSEOG award prorates (as does the Pell payment).</p>
<p>If a student does not file FAFSA by the priority date … or if he waits too long to submit the required verification documents … even a 0 EFC will miss out on FSEOG.</p>
<p>Every school is different, though.</p>
