Are you really drawing conclusions from 23 responses on CC? 23? And CC?

According to College Board, roughly 30% of matriculating students do in fact report the ACT, though ~25% of them also report the SAT, which sounds quite reasonable to me. Most of the class is composed of New England/Mid Atlantic/Texas/California kids, and those areas are SAT-centric. And while Harvard explicitly says that they value both the ACT and the SAT the same, most students still hold the assumption that elite Northeastern colleges prefer the SAT.</p>

<p>Yes, the link shows 29% of students submit the ACT. However, only 4% of students don’t submit the SAT, so it follows that the maximum percentage of matriculating students that submitted only the ACT is roughly 4.</p>
