fevers are good- its how your body kills the germs & if its a virus an expensive medication won’t help.
Poor kid that is a sweet age- make sure they check her ears at the doc and try and cut all dairy- increases phlegm ya know.
There are also lots o herbal teas that are helpful
Throat Coat ( by traditional medicinals) for example has wild cherry bark and licorice, tea will also help warm the chest.
A very cautious singer I used to know, always went around with a muffler, practially until the 4th of July!</p>
<p>Several years ago, my son had an important solo and he was sick. Terrible sore throat. A gargle of apple cider vinegar in water worked for him that day. I mixed it in a water bottle and used as needed that day. He wasn’t singing, playing the trumpet. He thought it was nasty but it got him through the day.</p>
<p>Hope she is feeling better with rest and all the usual treatments. Glad she saw a physician who can determine if it is bacteria or virus.</p>
<p>If menthol is not good for a vocalist, I would be careful with phenol. It is great to relive pain but might be too caustic for a vocalist-not sure.</p>
<p>Turns out it was strep throat. She’s feeling absolutly fine now. Aren’t antibiotics amazing!</p>
<p>Apple cider vinegar? Never thought of that. One of my daughters swears it got rid of a wart on her toe – the wart remover stuff didn’t work, but the vinegar apparaently did!</p>
