My child was accepted to the ELMPA program! Merit for both the undergrad and grad portions included in the acceptance. Honors invite too but I understand most ELMPAs decline honors.

Q’s PA program accreditation is currently under probation and next review will be next year. If they don’t get accreditation, then students will not be able to sit for exam even they complete the program.

Thank you for the heads up! QU has included their probation disclaimer with every contact (at the interview, in the acceptance letter, at the information sessions, etc). They aren’t trying to hide it.

A minor correction to what you stated, students who had entered the graduate portion of the program prior to the school losing accreditation (if they do lose it) will still be able to finish and sit for PANCE, as long as the school “teaches out.” No new classes will be allowed to start. The ELMPA students who are undergrads when a school loses accreditation wouldn’t be able to start the graduate PA school and instead would finish in 4 years with a Bachelor’s then apply out to other graduate PA programs through CASPA just like anyone who doesn’t do a direct-entry program. This is all if QU loses accreditation. Personally, I think it’s more likely they’d be put on another 2 years of probation rather than lose accreditation because they’ve clearly made great strides at trying to get in compliance.

QU has a focused visit from arc-pa coming up in April and I’m hoping there will be more info from that prior to the next full visit in Sept.

Awesome, thanks for the info. My kiddo hasn’t heard and she’s nervous. Should be ok, but the waiting is tough.

I don’t know what program your daughter applied for but everyone I know who was accepted last week had applied for bachelors plus masters type programs. So the 4+2, 3+1, etc. My son applied business undecided and did not hear yet either. The waiting is the hardest part but hopefully we’ll hear this week!

He will probably hear this week, I think they doing it in batches. My son heard last week, applied for the four-year business program but was offered the 4+1 program as well (I’m not sure he will do the 4+1).

Gotcha! Thank you so much!

And sorry, yes, she applied for the 4 year Biomed degree. So that would make sense! Thank you again! And congratulations!

For those that heard last week, what time of day were decisions released?

Morning. Email notice to check portal came at 7:24 AM

Thank you!

For weeks, my son’s application has been listed as incomplete because it says the transcript for “HS of X” has been received, but the transcript for “X HS” is missing. He has now written to them three times to say that it is one school, and they are showing two different versions of the name! Each time they write back, they say they still need the transcript (that they have). Grrrrrrr

Hmmm—so weird and very annoying. It doesn’t reflect well on the school.

My son was accepted! Accepted to the school of business, invited into the 3+1 program and good merit! Good luck everyone!
