<p>I wouldn’t say Whitman, Occidental or Reed are significantly less selective than Oberlin or for that matter Carleton, Grinnell and Macalester. They’re all very much on par, with Macalester, Whitman and Occidental hovering around a 40% acceptance rate, and Oberlin, Grinnell, Carleton and Reed between 25-35%. If you’re looking or schools with an acceptance rate that is > 50%, places like Hiram and College of Wooster in Ohio would be good choices.</p>
