<p>If you are going to come this summer, make hotel reservations now! Arts Fest, Fourth Fest, Jazz Fest, spend a summer day…it’s a busy place! Mark me among the others who think comments about a lack of diversity here are ill informed.</p>
<p>My children went to public school here, with students from all over the world, of all faiths, colors, ethnic backgrounds…it’s the best part of life here. It is completely common to hear languages other than English ( Korean, Russian, Chinese, Croatian, Spanish, Japanese) inthe grocery store or at the Amish market . There’s an Islamic center, a synagogue, a Quaker school, a Russian orthodox church, large Catholic congregations and a large East Indian presence. A community program called Global Connections gives students from abroad a crash course in Amercian customs like how to cook a Thanksgiving dinner, and then the students and their cultural supports give monthly programs about their home culture. Is Pennsylvania predominantly white? yep. But that isnt the only measure of diversity.</p>
