we watched Stand and Deliver at the beginning of the year

Shouldn’t the test be redundant for native speaker, as a pretty easy 800 that doesn’t mean anything to college.

IMO the kid who takes SAT in his native language should be outright rejected from all colleges he sends it to as a slacker and person who cares more about test scores than learning

Indians are 1/6 of world pop. we need AP HIndi.

Exactly. I can’t stand all those slackers taking AP English, SAT II English, and SAT Verbal.

“Indians are 1/6 of world pop. we need AP HIndi.”

Chea

However, India’s political structure and economy leave it lagging behind other influential countries; thus, it would be more advantageous to learn another language. If half of the world spoke Swahili, Swahili wouldn’t be any less useless than it is now.

take that !

Yeah but there’s so many indians in places like New Jersey or New York so It would be good to know some. Not many people I know speak Swahili.

Yeah, because AP English is such an easy exam for native speakers…

They aren’t even comparable…

My point wasn’t that many of people do or don’t speak Hindi. That is irrelevant. The fact of the matter is that the economic and diplomatic utility of both Hindi and Swahili is very limited because the economies and policies of the countries that use these languages as their official language are defective. However, both Japan and nations of the Sinophone world have burgeoning economies that aren’t hindered by political inadequacy; hence, learning these two languages will prove to be very useful in the near future. The economic dominance of these nations cannot be denied (and I am not saying this to defend my own heritage for I am Jewbano).

Its funny how next year, my school will have filipino 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, and 7-8. The only other foreign languages our school has are spanish and french. Go figure

Never was the case. Before it was Spanish; today it’s English.

Bahasa Indonesia would have a better chance of becoming an AP than Tagalog.

i think they will intruduce other languages, and if you want your language added complain to CB maybe they’ll added, they even added russian for next year (never thought it would happen in a million years, wow the russians are happpy, LOL) and i know for ap deplomia you can tell CB your a master in another foreign language and earn the diplomia, without taking another foreign language, or just take both english exams and tell them you could not CB even states that.
Did anybvoyd get the AP international delomia (its for people leving us so its probably rare here, unless someone went to GB)
