I really enjoyed my last overnight visit, but I would have to agree. The students seem perfectly fine. The staff, however, did not impress me. They seemed condescending. Also they weren’t very welcoming to the school. It seemed like more of a “well our school is the best” attitude. Rose-Hulman may be ranked highly, but they are not the #1 undergraduate engineering school. That spot has long been held by MIT. I was however overly impressed with the students, which I have stated a lot throughout this forum. They were extremely friendly and more than happy to answer anything and keep me involved while I was there. To me, the professors I saw seemed average. I sat in on one of the classes and was not impressed. The technology of the classroom was great and the professor was very nice, but she was not very effective at teaching. It definitely was not one of those moments where I would want to sign up for the profs class right away.

Don’t get me wrong though, I am now an avid Rose-Hulman fan after learning a lot more about the school. However, there is still plenty of room, like any school, for improvement. I just found it funny that you should mention this about the staff because I got the exact same impression.
