<p>Your math isn’t off, you’re just looking at the wrong numbers. Acceptance rate comes from how many students apply and how many were ACCEPTED. You’re looking at how many students ultimately ENROLL (that is, the class size). Not every student who is accepted goes on to enroll. Many have other choices and end up enrolling at other schools even if they were also accepted at Emory. That’s a concept known as “yield.”</p>
