Random Things that you Obsessively Want

260,000 dollars is not a reasonable amount to ask from a complete stranger is it?

Also I understandably but obsessively want that money.

I want limitless download speed. :o

Happy birthday, in the event that you still follow this thread.

^And there’s TinEye for searching for the exact same image. Problem with both is there is a very limited amount of images.

TinEye is great for copyright-checking. GazoPa is fun to play with, though the results it gets are sometimes rather amusing.

Incidentally, I bet the people who make those captcha things really hate the people who make these image engines.

If I had 260,000 dollars, I wouldn’t go to college. I’d put it in the bank and spend the next 10 years living on it and developing awesome stuff.

^Not a bad idea…

At this moment, since I’m having a nightmare of a time negotiating FA with the college that I want to attend, the 260k comes to my mind first.

At 5% per year, you get 13K. In quite a few countries, this would be enough to live in reasonable comfort.

^If you get 5% a year these days you’re lucky. But on the other hand if you take 25k a year you can make it last a decade. If you don’t have to work, you can get a LOT done in ten years.

If I couldn’t come up with at least one hit idea during that time, I’d be very surprised.

250,000 dollars to fund my 4 years of education and living costs

Many banks have accounts that require $100,000 or $200,000 minimum to get into, and yield 10% interest.

This was true as of 10 years ago, though. I would assume that these things underwent big changes with the recent market.

a tablet to make animations:p

hate using macro flash><

^^ A quick google search suggests that those accounts are around 5% these days. Considering that you’ll often only pay 6-7% on a mortgage now, you aren’t going to get better than that on any low-risk investments.

Cheese dip, the ability to squeeze someone to death lovingly (without them dying), to have my '69 GTO Convertible restored, as opposed to it rusting and rotting away, umm, and the ability to speak more languages. And some decent new psychological thriller books too! Ohh, not to mention coffee (cream only please, no sugar), grape juice, and white chocolate. That’s about it. Ohh, and last but certainly not least, the cure to both boredom and worry.

A DeLorean-style time machine, a Gretsch White Falcon, a Mali Uromastyx, a treadmill, and Ziggy Stardust.

A Bach Strad trumpet
A button to magically clean my room
A faster, better computer that isn’t 10 years old
A telescope
Oh, and some arrows and a target for the $20 archery bow I bought (on impulse) on the Internet about, I don’t know, 4 months ago.

Or, money. Then I can get all these things (except #2, probably, unless that button called for a maid).

…or, the entire space shuttle Discovery in my backyard…

This yellow tube of mascara.
A fullride to my dream school ( DOESN’T EVERYONE ).
And that hula chair! The one you sit on and just… go around and around, side to side, and in circles! x)

I forgot to mention that I also want a really old Baldwin baby grand piano.

Summer shoes

No more school
Full ride to dream school
