Rank: Penn, Brown, and Dartmouth (In Prestige and Undergraduate Education)

Some of these fries come from Idaho potatoes…

I am assuming that you rejected my “inverse proportions” hypothesis re: prestige.

If not, then this may be true only within the confines of Amherst, MA…

If you’re saying that she’s claiming Dartmouth to be BETTER than PRINCETON and ANY LAC, then all credibility is lost.

Prodigalson’s posts are far too nuanced for the kind of skull-crushing “repartee” to which College Confidential has habituated me…

I loved the put-down of hmom5. Priceless.

Does this even need to be asked? BSU’s cowboy hat. That team’s going to make the BCS bowl next year!

^^^ BSU made a BCS bowl THIS year. In fact, they won.

Sales of Idaho potatoes went up accordingly…

But do not underestimate the Lord Jeffs, they’re capable of beating a good high school football team on any given day…

Now let’s talk about that mighty Quaker basketball team.

^ Let’s not. :p

Dartmouth has a great alumni network.

…and a greater ■■■■■■ network.

Trying to get yourself banned again? :D

Columbia ftw :)

Nice, IB :)

To be fair, the Quaker basketball team is undefeated in 2010, and your varsity hockey program has gone without a loss for decades.

[qoute=jackpot]No more marijuana smoking goes on at Brown than any other school.

[/quote]

That contradicts the multiple accounts (from others) I have of substance usage there.

As someone who has spent time on many campuses, there is no more pot smoking or any substance use at Brown than anywhere else.

People are less worried about doing it in there room, but go to most large state schools and you’ll see way more pot smoking (and drinking). Brown’s stoner reputation is earned on the fact that it’s not something people keep behind closed doors here or are hiding in any way, but the actual amount of smoking is really not all that different.

THE BCS Bowl. As in the championship game. Call me crazy, but I think it’s possible.

What is a “great alumni network”?

How does it work (and is it equally important) in various career fields, for example technical (IT, engineering), public policy analysis and consulting (urban planning, energy, international relations), management, and sales? Is it valuable at all stages of a career, or more so when you are just starting out?

(think I’ll start a thread on this)

Brown>Dartmouth>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Penn

^u put your signs backwards

Brown<Dartmouth<<<<<<<<<<<<<Penn
