Hi, I’m also pre-med. You are exempt from W131. I didn’t take the class because I was exempt due to SAT and ACT scores and I took a dual-credit class in HS that counted for the requirement. Depending on where you want to go to med school it may not hurt to take it though. I know some schools like Johns Hopkins wants you to have taken 2 writing intensive courses.
I would drop bio-l111. You only need to take L112, L211, and L113 for the premedical requirement for biology. You can look here to see other premedical coursework needed for at least the IUB school of medicine: http://hpplc.indiana.edu/medicine/med-cw.shtml. If you really want the credit for L111 if you didn’t get a 5 on the AP Bio exam then take the bio test offered during NSO. I retook L112 last fall (got the credit from the AP exam) because some med schools allow you to use the AP credit but then want you to take an upper level bio class.
I think your schedule is good for an incoming freshman, you don’t want to take too many classes or credit hours because you want to get used to college.
