I’m currently in the 8th grade, and I’m wondering if my 9th grade schedule isn’t challenging or rigorous enough.

Freshman:
Honors English
Honors World Geography
Spanish 1
Alegbra 1 (I’m supposed to be in Geometry next year, but I’m being forced to retake Algebra)
General Science (I would have liked to take Biology, but in order to do it I would have to be concurrently enrolled in Geometry)

I plan to take Geometry over the summer, and do Algebra 2 in sophmore year.

Intended Sophmore Year Schedule:
Honors English
A.P. World History
Biology
Algebra 2 (Possibly honors?)
Pyschology
Spanish 2

BTW, I plan to major in either Political Science or Sociology.

^^(schoolisfun) Even though I really am not in the position to judge your schedule (considering I’m only in the 8th grade), I think you have a great schedule especially if you are trying to something in a scientific field.

Yeah, that’s why asked if I should consider taking a few harder courses. What do you suggest taking? May I ask what you took in Freshman and Sophmore year, just so I can get a good I idea of what I should take :)

I’ll rate sophomore year, since it’s more relevant to college admissions and give it an 8/10, simply because Health is a stupid requirement you should take in your Freshmen year and I question your motivation for taking 2 languages.

Junior year:
AP English Lit
IB Biology
IB Pre-calc
IB Spanish 5
IB French 2
IB History, Americas
AP Macroecon
AP Stats

I am taking all honors next year, with the exception of Algebra and General Science. Do you think that would be a problem considering I’m not try to do anything in a scientific field anyway. It’s not like I’m try to go to medical school, so whats the need in taking a lot of honors math and science classes?

This is my tentative list for Junior and Senior year.
