Free period or should I take Spanish 3 instead?
@itsmenicolez 8; I say take Spanish 3 because it’s better to have more years of a foreign language. But if you already met the requirements for whatever college you want to go to and you just want to chill, definitely take the free period! It’s senior year anyways.
Senior Year:
AP Statistics
AP Calc BC
AP Physics M
AP Physics E & M
AP Lit
AP Spanish
Empty class, I go home early/come to school late depending on my final schedule
*note about my reasoning: I have already taken AB so BC really shouldn’t be hard (at my school, AB covers almost all of it); Spanish 4 and AP Spanish are literally equivalent rigor-wise at my school except in 4 you don’t get a curve so AP is an obvious choice; by the end of this year I’ll have already taken 5 social studies classes so I don’t need to next year; I take 5 AP’s right now so I’m used to the work load and it might actually be easier next year since I’ll have less periods too

@DeTennis I’m taking AP seminar as well! Do you have any idea what the course is like? Because next year is the first year our school is doing it and I don’t know what I’m signing up for.
@samsunguser I don’t know but most people only take one AP Calc. Maybe you should take another ap class instead but if you really want to take BC calc then sure. But usually they take one of the two because they are the same course except BC has another unit or two so you’ll be pretty bored in that class for a major part of the year.
@Hamlon Yeah it’s A/B day block schedule.
@penngirlpending It’s actually going to be the first year for us too! So all I know about the course at this point is the information that’s in our high school course catalog.
@DeTennis Aw I was really hoping you came from a school that already has the class this year but oh well. I’m excited because it’s something non-read a book and write essays on it type of class

My personal reason is just that it will be an easy and a chill class and because I want to stay sharp for college calculus since I’ll probably have to take it in college as a pre-med requirement. I’d rather not forget everything completely if that makes sense? I’m not primarily looking for like credit or advanced placement, just to learn more in depth.
