^7/10

Sophomore
Precalculus honors
Spanish 2 Honors
AP Chemistry
Experimental Science Honors(mandatory course)
Band
English 2 Honors

8/10, but no history?

senior yr schedule

ap bio
ap enviro sci
ap calc bc
ap comp gov
english
ap spanish

^there is no history sophomore year at my school, Us history is in 11 and econ/gov in 12

9.5/10, I’d rate it a 10 but English is regular. However 5 AP’s will probably make up for that.

QUESTION: This is my senior year schedule so far. I’m taking math at my community college instead, so I won’t be taking a math at my school, which means open period. I was thinking of taking an open instead of filling it up with a random elective, because I want time to work/do college apps/focus on my other AP’s. Considering my course schedule would that look bad?

AP Lit
AP Spanish
AP Gov
AP Physics or AP Bio (haven’t decided yet)
Speech and Debate
[open period]

Calc 2 (1st sem) - community college
Multivariable Calc (2nd sem) - community college

This sounds fun, I’ll guess I play! 10/10 for ddeebaa’s schedule because of AP Spanish (very dangerous class) and for taking Calculus II and Multivariable Calculus at your local community college. Very rigorous indeed.

Next-year Sophomore Schedule

Accelerated Math 2/3 (practically Honors Geometry and Algebra II)
P. E. (required)
Spanish II (no honors available at my school)
Pre-AP/Honors Language Arts 10
AP European History
AP Chemistry

^8/10 bc not AP math or honors Spanish, but not your fault.
AP Calc Ab
Honors Spanish 5
AP US history
Honors Bio
AP English Language
Honors Orchestra

^idk what that would be rated tbh but it’s really good and sounds super rigorous!

This is my schedule for 2017-18 (I’ll be a freshman)

  • Pre AP Precalc
  • Pre AP English 1
  • Pre AP Biology
  • Pre AP World Geo
  • French 2
  • AP CS

and then 2 courses my school makes frehsman take to be prepared for high school life, one science based and one english based, both weighted

^9/10 - good starting schedule! That’s awesome that your schools allows you to take AP classes freshman year. (My school doesn’t even allow you until sophomore and junior years)

This my schedule for junior year:

AP Stats

AP Chem

AP Lang

AP Calc BC

AP US

Gym

Honors Russian IV

Honors (PLTW) Medical Interventions

F:8/10
S:8.5/10
AP Physics 1
APUSH
DE Environment science, sem2 DE Biology
Ceramics
Tennis for biginners
DE Enc 102
AP Calculus AB

@Colina1234 9/10 since you don’t seem to have any Foreign Language classes.

Forgot to mention my potential Junior and Senior schedules. I would appreciate it if someone rates them appropriately.

(Here is my Sophomore year schedule just in case):

Accelerated Math 2/3 A (Honors Geometry and Alegbra II practically combined)
AP Chemistry (So excited for this class!)
AP European History
Pre-AP Language Arts 10
Spanish II (No honors available)
P.E.

Junior Year Schedule:

Honors Pre-Calculus
Spanish III Honors (I dislike Spanish, but there is an Honors course so…)
AP Physics 1
AP Biology (I prefer more conceptual and math-related sciences, such as Chemistry, but why not?)
AP United States History
AP English Language and Composition (I dislike English, but this class is pretty much a necessity for Top 20, and for College Applications as well)

Senior Year Schedule:

AP Calculus AB (Most likely going to self-study AP Calculus BC)
AP Physics C: Mechanics (This class will be tough, but very interesting)
AP Statistics/AP Environmental Science (Not sure which one; APES sounds more interesting though)
AP Psychology (To complete a-g requirements for UCs)
AP English Literature and Composition (Same as Junior Year Schedule Description)
AP United States Government (Government class required)

10/10, seems like it would be INCREDIBLY stressful though.

Anyway, my sophomore year schedule:
English II Honors/GT
Chemistry Honors/GT
AP World History GT
Algebra II Honors (no GT because of rumors that teachers are bad)
Spanish III Honors (no GT available, still Honors because I enjoy suffering)
Band
AP Psychology

8.5/10

My sophomore year schedule:
AP World History
Honors Precalc
Latin 2
Honors English 10
Honors Civics and Economics
Honors Chemistry
PLTW Intro to Engineering (AP weighting)

next year (junior year):
Honors Latin 3
AP Physics 1
AP Physics 2 (my school requires both to be taken in the same year)
AP BC Calculus
AP US History
AP English Language
Honors Intro to Computer Science Principles + AP Comp Sci Principles
(Maybe: Honors Forensic Science and Honors Intro to Computational Science)

senior year:
Honors Latin 4
AP Environ Sci (I’d rather take AP Bio, but this is a graduation requirement)
AP Stats
AP English Lit
AP Comparative Government
Honors Multivariable Calculus 1 + 2
Explorations in Mathematics Modeling and Research (a seminar course from a really selective online school)
Honors Epidemiology

Hopefully this will be good enough for an Ivy haha

AP Statistics
AP Human Geography
AP English Language and Composition
Honors Trig
Honors Pre-Calculus
Chemistry
Spanish 3
Phy Ed (I haven’t taken it yet)

@k8allen sorry I forgot to grade yours. I’d say that is about a 9.5. My question is, I don’t know ANY schools that require environmental science. Why your school?

@MNballer19 That’s a great question, wish I knew the answer. All I know is that we are required to have a physical science, earth/environmental science, and biology to graduate at my school. Maybe it’s a NC thing

@MNballer19 for junior year 8/10, for senior year 7/10 (assuming you’re a junior lol)

Senior Year schedule: (current junior)
AP Lit
AP Calc BC
AP Bio
AP Psychology
AP Spanish
Chorale
Broadcasting
Student Exec Board/Peer Group

10/10 @jf09199  :-bd

Junior Schedule (11th Grade):
AP US History
Precalculus Honors
IB Spanish SL Year 1
AP Physics
AP English Literature
PE
Band
Study Hall

9.5/10 @writer80 - impressive; think you might be taking AP calc in senior? in that case bump this to 10.

My Sophomore schedule for 2017-18 (confirmed):
PreAP English 2 Honors
PreAP Spanish 3 Honors
AP Calculus AB (may self study BC or take that classin junior/senior year)
AP Physics 1
AP Micro Economics
AP US Gov and Politics

Junior year schedule (tentative):
AP English Language
AP Calculus BC or AP Stats
AP Physics 2
AP Biology
AP Computer Science

9/10 looks good to me
Junior Year schedule, all are “high honors,” aka at or above AP level (except pre-calc)
1st semester:
20th Century Novel (English 11-12)
Modern History
American History
Pre-calc
Intro to Physics
PE (required)
Race, Class, Gender (History)
Gender Studies (English)
Maybe: Spanish composition (university)

2nd semester:
Poetry
Human Genetics
Pre-calc
Interdisciplinary Thinking (Econ, Sociology, Political Science)
Physics A
American History
Stage Craft
PE (required)
Maybe: Hispanic linguistics (university)

I might drop Stage Craft or Physics A second semester, and I might drop either Race, Class, Gender, or Gender Studies first semester, depends on the workload.

^ @bella22 wouldn’t recommend precalculus if you’re skimming a C in algebra 2. Wish those history courses and english courses were offered at my school.
