Rate the schedule above you

pretty cool that your school has a vet option and I rate 8/10

senior: my school has 5 ap

  1. french 2
  2. english 101 /english 102
  3. college algebra / college history
  4. principles of marketing
  5. advanced multimedia (news class)
  6. accounting 2
  7. physics

plan to change french 2 / advanced multimedia to ap chem / anatomy if I can

8.5/10
The teaching assistant is really nice but you have no math or LOTE.

Junior:
AP Stats
AP Physics 2
Spanish 4 Honor
Precalculus Honor
APUSH
AP Lang
PE

lol the guy who made this thread has not been active in over 6 years but people still comment on his thread!

9.5/10, nice doubling up on maths, PE is an requirement, I’m guessing

Sophomore schedule:

Honors English 10
Engineering Foundations 2,
Honors Chemistry,
Algebra 2,
AP Government,
AP Computer Science Principles,
Microbiology/Physiology,
Spanish 4.

@moviestar505 6.5, which is perfect for sophomore year. You’ll be able to set yourself up for an upward GPA trend and show that you’re willing to take on work of increasing difficulty in the following years.
Senior:
Orchestra
AP Spanish Lang
AP Lit
AP Chem
AP US Gov/AP Comp Gov
AP Stats (or AP Calc BC, if scheduling works out)
AP Microeconomics/Open Period second semester (need time to practice for my senior concerto in April)

@ski_racer I give that a 10/10. Especially the AP Spanish and AP Lit, both hard classes. Plus being in band or chorus is time consuming as well so this is a very good schedule.

Senior
AP LIT
AP Physics C Mechanics
AP Calculus AB
AP Macroeconomics / AP Comp Gov
AP Capstone Research
Dual enrollment College bio
PLTW Medical Interventions (Medical Magnet program)

Online
AP Microeconomics (Micro online)
Abnormal Psychoplogy Dual
Developmental psychology dual

I know this is a lot but does anyone think I can handle this with senior applications? I took a similar schedule like this junior year. I normally dont have to study since I remember things easily.

@kimclan1 I dont have a teaching assistant class and I’m taking college algebra for math and what’s LOTE?

I rate yours 10/10 @ToomanyQuestions18 it’s up to you if you can handle it

senior: my school has 5 ap

  1. french 2
  2. english 101 /english 102
  3. college algebra / college history
  4. principles of marketing
  5. advanced multimedia (news class)
  6. accounting 2
  7. physics

plan to change french 2 and advanced multimedia to ap chem / anatomy if it fits

It is what New York State calls foreign langauge. @CGrammar

I’m so sorry! I accidently rated the schedule of someone from several pages back because I forgot to go to the most recent post.

@kimclan1 haha its okay we messing up the flow of the thread tho lmao

@CGrammar @kimclan1 quick someone post a schedule

@CGrammar

I would say a solid 6/10, but it’s difficult to give an accurate rating with such unique class titles. The real test is just how you rank in comparison to your peers at high school, who have the same opportunities in terms of courseload.

10th (2017-2018):
Honors Precalculus 1/2 {Dual Enrollment}
Honors English 3/4
AP US History
Honors College-Prep Chemistry
Honors Spanish 7/8 {Dual Enrollment}
AP Computer Science Principles
PE + Health

^7.5/10 APCSP sounds so exciting! Best of luck to you!

Junior Year
Weights (fall semester)
Theory of Knowledge (spring semester)
AP Calculus AB
Spanish IV (no honors for foreign language at my school)
Symphony
AP Biology
AP English Language and Composition
AP Psychology

@One800Dumpling

I’m not sure why you rated it 7.5/10, but thanks anyway

@nick3162
I’d like to begin by saying my quick rate on your course load, or anybody’s rate on another person’s course load, has no real traction! Don’t be upset with me please. I rated your course load in the scheme of all the course combinations you could possibly take throughout all years of high school in order to give you an idea of how it will get harder throughout your high school career. You should be proud that you’re challenging yourself! My intention was never to undermine the rigor of your course load.

For @One800Dumpling : 9.9999! Great job for sticking with Symphony! Too many kids I know drop music or art just to take another AP and boost their GPA…

Sophomore Year:
H (Honors) Chemistry
H Algebra 2
H Spanish Year 3
H English 10
H US History
AP Biology
P E 10 (first semester) / H Java Programming (second semester)

@One800Dumpling

That literally makes no sense. A sophomore schedule should not be rated based on the rigor of classes that juniors and seniors take- it should be rated within the context of the 10th grade.

@nick3162
Your schedule is great for your sophomore year. We’ve both established this. If you feel I haven’t established this firmly, this is me doing it now: I really do think your schedule is great. I apologize for offending you, but I’m not going to apologize for my different interpretation of how to rate schedules. Please, do not try to argue with me about interpretation because it would really boil down to a matter of opinion.

@nick3162 If you’re unhappy with @One800Dumpling 's assessment, then ignore it. You shouldn’t ask questions if you don’t want honest answers.

@preppedandpeppy 6.5/10. I’m jealous of your schedule. It has so much variety and seems like it will be enough to keep you busy, but not so much that you’ll drown. As a sophomore, I think you’re on a great track.

Senior:
AP Lit
AP Chem
AP American Gov/AP Comp Gov
Orchestra
AP Stats
AP Spanish Lang
AP Micro/Open Period

**posting again bc I felt bad that I interrupted the thread sorry

@One800Dumpling @ski_racer

Yeah no worries, my intention was not to stir conflict here. I was a bit mislead at first, but I now understand the context of Dumpling’s rating and his interpretation of the original post.

Mine for junior year:
IB English HL
IB Biology HL
IB World History HL
Honors Pre-Calculus
Honors (kinda IB? I’m confused about my school’s system on this) Spanish 5
AP Comparative Government
IB Theory of Knowledge
Yeehaw full diploma!
