7—*Most juniors are at Spanish III or IV. AP Language is the most rigorous English class for Juniors? Can you replace AVID with something more rigorous?

Please rate the following schedule which aims for acceptance to Oxford University for Politics, Philosophy, and Economics? For international relations?

Sophomore Schedule—

Spanish III
French III

Questions— I have been tempted to replace French III with AP Language, but I think the languages pertain to the field in which I would like to study. Should I drop?

I also have the option of taking AP World History, but this is a very unstable class with a very unstable teacher. Should I risk it?

Note: French/Spanish IV are honors classes. French/Spanish V are AP.

Junior schedule (2013-2014) will be as follows:

(Sophomore schedule) Rating-7
because 1: Algebra 2 in sophomore year? I guess that’s fine if you don’t plan studying math in college . . . also did you already take geometry?
2: two languages at once? that’s impressive to me

(Junior Schedule) Rating- 8 Nice mix of AP, honors math, and dual language . . once again very impressive!

Now For Me !

Tennischick97, my school says that AP classes have 45minutes a night on average. You are essentially taking 8 APs, which comes out to 6 hours of homework a night. Are you an insanely studious worker, or do APs not actually require that much work?

Tennischick, if you do well in those classes, that schedule is a 11/10. In my opinion, it will be incredibly difficult whether you are smart or not, but best of luck.

Next year, I’ll be a Junior taking…

AP Psychology
AP US History
IB English SL 1
IB Math SL 2
IB Theory of Knowledge
IB Spanish 1
IB Chemistry

For StanfordOneDay:
Your schedule looks solid! Fitting in that many sciences is amazing! I also wrapped up pre-calc by my junior year, so that will definitely open up your schedule while your classmates will be struggling to get their third or fourth year of math.
As for econ, give it a chance! I had a terrible teacher and the class had a reputation as yucky as yours, but reading the textbook on macro/micro was actually really interesting!

As for my schedule,

SENIOR
Honors Physics
Honors English
AP Calc 2
Yearbook
Spanish 5
AP Govt/Pol.
Documentary Film/Ind. Study: Org. Chem/AP Bio

My school is on the semester schedule so I basically will have 3 per semester which should be around 3 hours a night on average. Then I will have the self studies which I am trying to begin working on in the summer so that will probably be an additional 30 minutes a night. I know it will be a challenge but I feel like I am ready.
