<p>I don’t think your parents are being unreasonable if you are already confident in your decision. It is a long (and potentially expensive) plane ride for a day and a half. You might shop around (Southwest, etc.) and see if you can come up with some kind of super airfare deal, but if it doesn’t work out, it’s not the end of the world.</p>
