<p>Guys, it’s really not that “amazing.” That is what the common ap does for a school–bring in more applications. However, the yield tends to suffer. </p>
<p>And just my own opinion, the fact that NU took about the same in the fall as it did in previous years suggests to me that the applicant pool itself wasn’t as strong as they might have hoped. This is because if the applicant pool was very strong, it would have made sense for NU to take a bit more students ED, to attain a higher yield. Remember: ED people admitted are considered 100 percent on the yield factor. And I think getting that yield back up is very important.</p>
