<p>The difference is that this update says that they will finish decisions in the next couple of days and therefore admission decisions cannot be released tomorrow. Stanford traditionally releases on Fridays so April 1 is very likely as the letter also explicitly states April 1 after 3 PM and not by April 1.</p>
