RD decision notification

<p>While I agree with David about the value of a Smith education over, let’s say, a state college, for many families at some point, even a Smith education is not worth the kind of money herfather is talking about if it becomes a huge struggle to fund it. I worry too about funding the future cost of my d’s education, but I know that had she gone to our state college A. she wouldn’t have gotten nearly as good an education B. she would have been terribly miserable and might have dropped out and C. it actually would have only saved us about $5000 per year. For our family, we felt the extra $5000 or so was worth the investment, and we are willing to go into debt to support her at Smith. Hopefully herfather’s d has some more affordable alternatives.</p>

<p>Herfather–re: scholarships- as you probably know from reading cc and the Smith website, they give very few scholarships and aid is based on financial need.</p>
