<p>just calm down and breathe. it was early anyway to expect a decision. how can your desire to attend chicago suddenly change just because they didn’t release decisions today? i would hope that your desire is ever strong/just as strong as it was yesterday. </p>
<p>yes, i also disagree with the idea of not informing students with a date–but it’s obviously something we can’t fuss about now. when we’re accepted to chicago (hopefully) then we can be productive and bring the issue to chicago for future students. but until then, let’s not grumble.</p>

<p>I think the reasoning behind not specifying a date and time for decisions is so the AO can avoid the server crashes you hear about all the time. At most you’ll have the people on CC, lurkers, and some others checking in concentrated waves, but for the most part it makes the process more gradual and prevents the frenzy this thread obviously foreshadows.</p>
