My daughter will audition for the BFA program at Western Kentucky in a few weeks. This is not a re-audition as mentioned above, but will be her first official audition for the program. She has had 2 juries at the end of her first 2 semesters; the 1st one was a “get to know you” jury where she was interviewed by a panel of professors on what her interests were; the 2nd jury was a performance jury where she received feedback on what she needed to work on for her BFA admission audition. It has been a very positive experience for her and she feels very supported by the professors. I’ll know more in a few weeks and will report back. However, when I ask her about the number of students in her class auditioning for the MT BFA she has no idea. She may have a better idea once the next semester starts.
