I transfer to Cal poly Pomona last year and I was accepted on the day before the last day. I don’t remember what exact day it was. I am a Mechanical engineering major.
Just a little insight on CPP
- Getting classes can sometime suck balls. This is my experience as a ME student.
- Parking is a bitch.
- Great for engineering. Companies around the area area always looking for cal poly engineer.
- Teachers here are pretty awesome.
- If you are a ME major, prepare to do a lot of homework.lol.

I went to SFSU and their admissions adviser had mentioned that certain departments at SFSU hadn’t made their decisions yet. I’m assuming this might be what’s going on the CPP as well? Hoping to hear something soon…

Ready for decision here as well. Business Admin major. Reading some of the replies on this thread and other it seems like alot of Business Admin majors are still on “Ready for Decision”

I really want to go to Cal Poly. It’s my dream school! I wonder if I should talk to my counselor? I think i got waitlisted thanks to one class my junior year. I took Calculus and I did terrible first semester! I got a D+ yup a 69%!! But I decided to take Calculus again this year and…I got an A! So I don’t know if I should ask my counselor if she can send my first semester senior grades?
We have a similar situation but were told NOT to send additional grades or transcripts unless asked. I believe once you are waitlisted you are “admissible” as is, it’s just a matter of if there is an opening.
Has anyone on the wait list emailed or called? If so did you get a response?

I called and emailed them and they said next week- mid April.
@bunnyhugger my son a first time freshman was wait listed on 3/27 for Geology and today 4/15 received a congrats email. Just updating for everyone.

I was wait listed two weeks ago, and I accepted the waitlist. Then I received an email last night that I was accepted into the chemistry program with an option in biochemistry.
