We got it! I don’t know if I’m more excited or scared. I did write a love letter, but I think the deciding factor might have been that our agent grew up with the owner.

Well, just got a call from DS and fiancee. There were 13 bids on the house they wanted. Theirs was the cleanest. They got it!! 6th time is a charm!

One neighborhood over, but only like 2 or so blocks from where they currently live. They wanted to be more in the other direction, closer to the little downtown and the BART, but its a great house for them and they are very happy. Its got a 2 car garage! No more street parking!

Our house only had two other bids but it had fallen out of escrow twice before for financing reasons.

I guess we just bought a house. All cash offer. 
(Just kidding. We wrote the biggest check we’ve ever written and paid off our mortgage. Could have bought some munis, but this buys us peace of mind, which is not a bad investment. Our monthly payment now is down to “measly” property taxes and insurance).
