This is complicated. How to tell tumor recurrence from previous surgery/scarring, how to be comfortable, why is the pain escalating now? Our local children’s hospital will do pain management admissions if routine scripts they are comfortable with on an outpt. basis aren’t working. Have experience with bone tumor pain in our house and it can’t wait. Sometimes you have to do an “end run” around the system to get seen in a timely fashion. This is the pain no parent should have to see their child in, especially for a long period of time. Sometimes, if there is any hardware/screws in the area, they can move causing new pain. All the best as you pursue relief. I am so sorry.
