<p>As you can see, FSU needs to go its own way on the issue if it wants to boost STEM output. Attempting to “help” FAMU by coercing the engineering school from their hands is a bad idea, and honestly just kind of sneaky. I can understand why FAMU was angered by the proposal.</p>
<p>FSU has a very energetic student/alumni base. That’s why I’m thinking that President Barron could rally the alumni to support the building of a new engineering school, and maybe get matching state funds, or even a sponsor. I look forward to the day that FSU has a [Wealthy Donor’s Name Here] School of Engineering.</p>
